AID is a non-profit organization committed to promoting sustainable, equitable and just development in India . AID was started in 1991 by graduate students of the University of Maryland . AID works with grassroots organizations in India . AID supports and initiates efforts in various interconnected spheres such as education, livelihoods, natural resources, healthcare, women's empowerment and social justice. AID also supports community development work in India.
